Short Term Rental regulations 

In late 2023, the Board of County Commissioners approved and established the short-term rental (STR) pilot program. Prior to that time, the unincorporated areas of Clackamas County had no STR regulations.  

The Board has extended the program until June 30 to solicit thorough public input on experiences with the program from STR operators, neighbors, and the general community. Public input is sought through a community-wide survey and public town halls.  

The survey is now open and all interested members of the public are invited to participate. It seeks to capture residents’ thoughts about the pilot program regulations, fees, and remaining issues involving STRs. It will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11.  

Commissioners wish to hear from as many residents as possible prior to making further decisions through the public events/feedback.
